Extra Range Bridge Plug (Wireline Set)

The COS's Extra Range Bridge Plug is a specialty plug for running through restrictions and then setting securely in larger diameters below. These restrictions such as seating nipples often force tubing to be pulled before well service can take place. The Extra Range Bridge Plug eliminates this in many cases.

Should the plug need to be removed, it is recommended to use a mill. A plug of such a broad setting range requires it to be made of mild steels and a milling process would be more acceptable.

Features :

  • Electric wireline set
  • Drillable
  • Sets in any grade casing including P-110
  • Runs through restrictions to set in larger diameters
  • For temporary or permanent service
  • Ratcheting lock ring holds setting force

BTS Bridge Plug (Wireline Set):

Midget Bridge Plug (Wireline Set)

The COS's Midget Bridge Plug Series provides an economical means of zone isolation for fracturing or other treatments. The plugs are compact and require less drilling time when being removed. The plug can be set on different types of wireline pressure setting tools. This plug sustains moderate pressures and temperatures.

Features :

  • Electric wireline set
  • Drillable
  • Cast iron construction
  • One piece slips – hardened to depth of wicker only
  • Sets in any grade casing including P-110
  • For temporary or permanent service
  • Ratcheting lock ring holds setting force
  • Small O.D.’s for speed and safety when running

Miniature Bridge Plug

The COS's permanent miniature bridge plug is designed to set in coiled tubing or drill collars. It is designed to withstand differential pressures of 10,000 psi at 350 ° F. In house, the bridge plug is successfully pressure tested at 7,500 psi. The bridge plug is available in four sizes: 0.750″, 0.875″, 1.25″ and 1.375″, which can be set on slickline or electric line.

The permanent miniature bridge plug has opposed, case hardened slips located above and below a tl1ree piece rubber pack-off system, manufactured out of either HSN (Highly Saturated Nitrile) or Viton. The pack-off elements are contained by rocker action metal back-up rings that eliminate extrusion of tl1e elements at high temperatures and pressures. A ratchet lock ring retains the setting force applied to the slips and pack-off to maintain a constant sealing pressure.

To assure centered setting of the small diameter plug in coiled tubing and/or drill collars, special ribbed cones direct the slips to evenly spaced positions against the pipe. Should it be necessary to remove a permanent bridge plug after setting, a milling process is recommended as the plug is constructed of mild steel and is not considered drillable.

Model H-M Bridge Plug(P&E Type) (Tubing Set)

The COS's H-M Bridge Plug is set using hydraulic power to set the top slips and then mechanical pull to complete the set. The Model P is for high pressure and temperature while the Model E sustains moderate temperature and pressure.

The need for a mechanical setting tool does not exist because the setting mechanism is built-in. A ball is placed in the tubing string plugging off the built-in equalizing ports. Pressure is then applied to set the top slip and then mechanical pull is applied to finish the set. Releasing the tubing string from the plug is done by simply turning to the right.

Full tubing I.D. is available after releasing from the plug allowing other equipment to extend through the end of the tubing string.

Features :

  • Drillable
  • Cast iron construction
  • One piece slips
  • Sets in any grade casing including P-110
  • Metal back-ups prevent rubber extrusion
  • For temporary or permanent service
  • Ratcheting lock ring holds setting force
  • Excellent for deviated wells
